Mia stands proud today. She has counted coup against her nemesis, Daisy.
Daisy is a rescued, declawed fluffy little kitty who seeks only friendship and a clear shot at the food dish.
Daisy likes to sash-shay around our porch while housebound Mia sulks behind the screen door. Mia laments her safe containment and wonders why that "tribble" outside gets so much discretion.
But today she stands proud, head high, tail straight up, ready to embrace a brave new future. And, it is all thanks to the folks at blogger.com.
She is on the Google. (I omitted the link because it would just bring you back here).
So Daisy you can keep your yard, your garbage cans and all that kitty hubris.
Because Daisy, you just ain't on the Google.
Mia is licking her paws and showing her fangs. She is happy to be on the Google but wonders how to get Google to give her food.

Instant Gratification
The first task of the day is to feed Mia. She insists on this in a variety of terribly effective ways. Before the coffee is made Mia is presented with a yummy breakfast. Kay usually feeds her but I stand in occasionally, especially on cold mornings.
Today, however, is an exception. Kay is away, so I opted for that extra half hour of sleep.
Not to be.
I awoke to paws on my chest. As soon as I opened my eyes, I was subjected to a cacophony of NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW. This physical assault on my senses continuted right up to her first bite of food.
That is when I realized that Mia was Kay's agent in charge while she was away. I knew I had to keep the toilet seat down, clean out the sink, and completely forgo the idea of buying that loaf of white bread.
Mia is a cruel taskmaster and probably a snitch too.

Mia; the Cat Formerly Known as Sassy
Hello dear reader. This is the diary of a most complex of cats.
Mia is a Siamese. That should say it all yet it doesn't come close.
Behind her baby blue eyes percolates a steel trap mind bent on total household domination. Her only obstacles are the vacuum cleaner, our teenager, Bryan, and another cat named Daisy.
No love is lost on any of the above.
Daisy is our next door neighbor cat. She likes to mince around the porch reminding Mia of her housebound incarceration. Occasionally Daisy will stop in for a visit. Always polite. She just ignores Mia's obvious distain. Daisy is a rescued cat abandoned by owners who had her declawed. But one swish of her tail and Mia is gone; hiding on a shelf behind the computer.
Bryan and the vacuum cleaner will be the subject of future postings.
Mia has a lot more to say. At this place will be the colorful stories and feline sagas guaranteed to carry you into a new reality, and perhaps reveal a little of the psychology of our conniving little friends.
